To make this necklace you will need:
• Circular hole punch (mine was 1″ in diameter)
• Plastic sheet (I used leftover packaging from something)
• Straight pin or tapestry needle
• Normal needle
• Thread (I like Beadalon Wildfire)
• Flat top-hole sequins
• Sewable rhinestones
• Jump rings
Begin by punching out 5 plastic circles with your hole punch. Use a Sharpie to mark one of the circles with where you will poke holes. Match the other circles by placing them on top of the first and using the dots as a guide. Use a straight pin or thick tapestry needle to punch the holes you marked.
Thread your normal needle and tie a knot. Sew up through one of the outer holes on a circle. Add a sequin and thread through a hole in the second ring of holes. Sew up through the outer hole next to the first. Continue sewing the sequins around the outer row of holes, repeating twice, then sew sequins to the inner row of holes, also repeating twice. Cut your thread and tie a knot.
Thread your needle again and tie a knot. Sew up through the middle hole on a circle and sew on a rhinestone in the center. Once the rhinestone feels secure, cut the thread and tie a knot. Repeat steps 2 and 3 on all five plastic circles.
Use your straight pin to poke two more holes in each circle. Open a jump ring and thread it through the hole in two circles, connecting them. Repeat until all circles are connected.
Use two more jump rings to attach a length of chain to the jump rings on each end of your connected flowers. Measure the length you want your necklace to be and trim the chain accordingly. Attach a clasp to the ends and you’re done!
